Introduction :
UDinfo's 2.5" SATA SSD (HF3-25DC Series) found success in South Korea's railway service, where it was urgently needed for the deployment of CCTV cameras for image recording in trains. Train manufacturers initially used HDDs, but the challenge of vibration sensitivity necessitated a more robust storage solution. Additionally, the rising concerns of safety and compliance with legal requirements for video storage heightened the demand for an efficient and durable SSD solution.
Challenges :

• High incidents of molestations and sexual assaults in trains necessitated numerous CCTV cameras for image recording.

Solutions
To meet the customer’s requirements, UDinfo provided the HF3-25DC series of 2.5" SATA SSDs, specifically designed for industrial applications. The high-capacity 8TB & 4TB provides ample space for CCTV image recording. Furthermore, the SSDs were engineered to withstand a wide industrial temperature range, enabling them to function optimally in extreme conditions. To address the customer's concern about sudden power interruptions, the SSDs were equipped with power loss protection mechanisms. This feature ensured that any data being written or stored at the time of power failure would be securely preserved, preventing data loss or corruption. The combination of high capacity, industrial temperature range suitability, and power loss protection made UDinfo 2.5” SATA SSDs an ideal solution for the CCTV image recording requirements in trains.
Results
Through our collaboration with the Asian customer in the transportation sector, we successfully implemented the HF3-25DC series of 2.5" SATA SSDs for CCTV image recording in trains. The high-capacity options of 4TB and 8TB, coupled with the industrial temperature range suitability and power loss protection feature, ensured optimal performance and data integrity.
